Battle of the Books
For those of you unfamiliar with Battle of the Books, it is a program designed to encourage students to foster a love of reading. Each year students around the country meet to compete in local Battle of the Books competition. This is a great club for students that love to read. It is important that your child arrives on time for our meetings so they do not miss anything. Students will be expected to attend every session, work the whole time, and behave according to school and library expectations. Please read the club rules and expectations sheet so you are aware of club policies.
Students in the club must read at least 10 of the 20 books on the Battle List to compete. Throughout the year we will practice answering Battle questions and hold mock competitions. There are some exciting titles on this year's list that you won't want to miss! If you have more questions please contact Ms. Chacon.
